Overview
VAccelerate Servers is a server virtualisation planning service which helps you analyse existing servers and design optimal virtual infrastructure solutions. The service is platform agnostic and allows “what-if” scenarios to be played to determine the best way forward for a particular environment or workload. Current support includes:- Citrix XenServer
- Microsoft Hyper-V
- Parallels Virtuozzo Containers
- Virtual Iron
- VMware ESX

Data Collection
- Deploy agent-less, light-weight Lanamark Explorer for gathering inventory, performance and software data
- Discover and profile servers running Microsoft Windows, Linux, Solaris, Unix, Citrix XenServer and VMware ESX
- Store collected data in a secure snapshot which will be used during analysis and design phases
Analysis
- Identify candidate servers for virtualisation
- Determine make, model, form factor, space requirements and other hardware characteristics for all servers
- Approximate age, warranty coverage, power consumption and carbon footprint of each server using the Server Analysis Pack
Design
- Design end-to-end virtual infrastructure solutions with server, storage and software components
- Explore what-if scenarios across virtualisation and hardware platforms using the Server Virtualisation Design Module
- Optimise placement of virtualised servers to maximise performance and minimise resource contention
