Overview
Solidcore's S3 Control enables organisations to accelerate the pace of IT progress by getting control of IT change. S3 Control drives improvement in the efficiency of IT infrastructure by:
- Providing real-time visibility into changes happening in IT environment and on devices
- Accountability by reconciling actual change with intended change
- A means to actually enforce change policy
Set and Forget
S3 Control is an operationally-friendly, low-touch, and low-overhead software product that can be deployed on a wide range of hardware platforms. S3 Control can be installed on servers, desktops, network appliances such as storage servers, databases, and computing devices such as medical equipment and ATMs.
S3 Control Modules
S3 Control consists of five modules, each of which provides a distinct functionality set. The base module is the Real-time Change Tracking module which provides real-time visibility into changes happening across target servers, desktops, network devices, and databases in the form of detailed tracking information, while incurring very little overhead. The remaining four modules can be added on to this base module in any sequence depending on the customer's requirements.
The On-Demand Root Cause Analysis module provides rich forensic capability to pinpoint the root-cause of any incident that takes place on a system. This module can be evoked even when the system in question is down.
The Accurate Reconciliation module correlates the changes made on servers to change tickets documented in existing ticketing systems. This module integrates with popular ticketing systems such as BMC Remedy and provides a very high level of accuracy in reconciliation.
The Selective Change Policy Enforcement module enables organisations to disallow changes attempted on target system outside of policy guidelines, and enforce the use of update windows across multiple sources of change.
The Deploy & Forget Runtime Control module provides the capability to control what code is allowed to run on a system and disallow unauthorised code from executing, while incurring very low operational and performance overhead.
